http://tagananet2.blogspot.com/

explain how you kept communication going, stds’ reactions and work.

"It is  also OK with me if I talk about my class blog, and how each student had his own later, then some went not only on practicing the language, but using them as a place to reflect about life in general and how this helped them to overcome difficult moments in their life. You know my human-ware " issue.Collaboration leads to transferring values, unconsciously!"

Bee:

"Rita, I will start with my own class blog "Bee-blogging from the Tropics at

http://lycee.wordpress.com

comment on open webpublishing as opposed to locked classrooms

and then move on to how teachers can find people to connect to in the

Exchange: http://dekita.org/exchange

and find student posts

in the Orchard: http://dekita.org/orchard

There is the possibility of projecting the sites from Learning Times but here are the slides anyway. bee.ppt

It would be interesting if someone (Carla?) could record the presentation and then you could upload the different slides with the voice on Slideshare with links to the different sites shown in the comment area for your teachers to go back to and view at ease instead of logging into Elluminate and having to listen to the whole session.

Nina:

First, I'll go over the concept of Webcasting. Then, I'll tell a bit about my Webcasting journey and how it fits the educational context. I'll finish by showing how much fun you can have with it and how much we can learn.

All my journey is documented at http://explorations.bloxi.jp/webcasters-adventures/

* Putting everything Together: RSS plus Bloglines, Tagging plus Technorati and Del.icio.us = Writingmatrix

It looks like I'm doing RSS, bloglines, tagging, technorati, and Del.icio.us and how these tools were used in the writingmatrix project

Slide one defines each item and briefly explains its significance

Slide two explains how these components were brought together to drive the Writingmatrix project

* Educational Virtual Communities

How do we find out about all this stuff?  Collaborate, share information, develop our skills??

Essentially learning communities enable teachers to
  • learn new tools and techniques from one another
  • to try them out on one another, increasing familiarity and understanding of the most useful tools
  • and then - competently use them with students
  • inculcate their use in students, so that students become more multiliterate

Teachers have two important responsibilities in this new age of educational technology

  1. learn appropriate use of new tools and technologies themselves
  2. use these with students so that student in turn become multiliterate

There are two fruitful concepts in which to frame the cooperation which fulfills these responsibilities:

1. Communities of practice

2. Distributed Learning Networks
